  • While NRSC Chair John Ensign claims that the GOP will make an "all-out push" to assist Shameless Saxby Chambliss, Democratic nominee Jim Martin will have Senator Jim Webb personally working with the DSCC to raise money for Martin's run-off campaign (in addition to the Obama campaign's successful Ohio staff helping Martin on the ground).

  • Let me know if this sends shivers up your spine: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution explicitly dubs Georgia's Republican Secretary of State Karen Handel "the Katherine Harris of this campaign."  Yikes.  Handel did demonstrate in the lead up to the general election that she would happily act in the most partisan fashion possible not only to curb a level playing field for Democrats but to effectively make it more difficult for true small-d democracy to be carried out.  Make no mistake - Georgia's chief vote-counter is squarely in Chambliss' corner.
